Dong’ao Tunnel New Construction Project

Project Description:

The project is located in Su’ao Township and Nan’ao Township, Yilan County. The route begins at the left bank of Zhentou Creek (south side) near the eastern edge of TRA Yongle Station and extends through Dong’ao Ridge via the Dong’ao Tunnel, emerging at the left bank (north side) of a tributary of Dong’ao North Creek. The tunnel connects to Contract A-3’s Dong’ao North Creek River Bridge on the south end and to Contract A-1’s Yongle Viaduct on the north end.

  • Tunnel facilities: South and north portal mechanical rooms

This project enhances transportation efficiency and safety along the Suhua Highway, significantly improving connectivity between northern and eastern Taiwan.
