Hushan Reservoir Water Diversion Project

Project Description:

The Hushan Reservoir is located approximately 10 kilometers southeast of Douliu City, Yunlin County, with a catchment area of about 6.5 square kilometers. Due to its limited water sources, a plan was devised to divert water from the Qingshui River at Tongtou Weir, located downstream of the Tongtou Suspension Bridge in Zhushan Township, Nantou County, to supplement the reservoir.

This project involves constructing a water diversion system from Tongtou Weir to Hushan Reservoir, which includes:

• 1,016 meters of open channels
• 2,825 meters of tunnels

As a key operational facility for the reservoir, this infrastructure plays a crucial role in enhancing water supply reliability and resource management.
